Citilabs Announces Beijing Regional Office
Appoints Xinhua Frank Fan as China Regional Manager
Oakland, California April 6, 2007 - Citilabs is pleased to announce the opening of Citilabs – Beijing, a new office managed by Mr. Xinhua Frank Fan, Citilabs’ China Regional Manager. Citilabs – Beijing will provide sales and local support for Citilabs customers within mainland China, and will also support software training seminars. “We have been building a solid Cube user base in China, and this move reflects our great expectations for this important market,” said Michael Clarke, President and CEO of Citilabs. “We appreciate our Chinese customers very much. We hope that our new commitment of resources in China helps these customers increase their understanding and realize the full potential of our Cube software suite for transportation planning.”
Citilabs – Beijing is Citilabs’ ninth office location globally, and Citilabs’ first in Asia. “Our presence as an important supplier of transportation software in Asia is growing,” states Luke Lihung Cheng, Citilabs’ Regional Vice President for Asia. “We now have active software users in eleven Asian nations, and ten software remarketing firms currently supporting us in Asia. The addition of the Beijing office is a very important step for us.”
Citilabs recently held its China regional user conference in Beijing, and Mr. Fan played a key role in managing the conference locally. “It was a great experience to see over 100 people gathered in Beijing to talk about the use and future of Cube. I am extremely pleased to join Citilabs, an outstanding software company offering a well-integrated suite of tools for transportation engineers and planners,” said Mr. Fan. “I look forward to serving Cube customers in China well into the future, and to interacting with my new colleagues in North America and Europe.”
Xinhua Frank Fan has been supporting Chinese transportation engineers with their software needs since 1998. His experience includes software sales and support of transportation modeling and such diverse applications as CAD and GIS. Mr. Fan received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Beijing Science and Technical University in 1992. He worked as a design engineer and production manager before specializing in engineering software.
